The Westport River consists of the east and west branches and is one of the largest tidal estuaries in the northeast.
We’ll explore from the mouth of the river to Hickes Bridge and places in between. Among the saltwater marshes you’ll find Osprey, Great Egrets, Blue Herons…. bring your camera!
Fishing Charters
- Half Day $500 (5 hrs.)
- Full Day $800

In order to provide the best fishing experience, the number of passengers will be limited based on the type of fishing:
- Fly Fishing – 1-2 passengers / boat
- Spin Casting- 2-3 passengers / boat
- Bottom Fishing

3-4 passengers / boat
Rods/reels and bait/tackle will be provided on the boat. Anglers are welcome to bring their own if they want.

Zack’s Custom Rods. Bait/tackle provide by
Westport Bait and Tackle.
Sea Adventure - A Family Day on the Water
$750 (6 hrs. / 4 passengers)
Take your family out exploring the Westport River and beyond.
Take a swim, run on the sand flats, stop by boaters beach, pull a lobster pot or two, have a picnic or stop by the Back Eddy or Sea Farms for some local cuisine.

Captain Mike Richardson
U.S.C.G. Licensed Captain
Captain Mike has spent most of his life on and in the water. His passion for the ocean started as a young boy with his grandfather’s 13-foot Boston Whaler, fishing Barnstable Harbor for any and all types of fish.
Over the years Captain Mike has owned a number of boats, both power and sail. As the “fun uncle” he would take the cousins out fishing or for really cool boating adventures. Captain Mike’s true enjoyment is seeing others get excited about catching fish or taking in whatever the ocean has to offer. The passion for fishing and the ocean is contagious!
As an avid SCUBA Diver and swimmer, Captain Mike enjoys being in the water as much as on top of the water.
With Westport Boat Charters, Captain Mike’s goal is
to make every charter a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience for all!

Vessels
- Grady-White 209 Escape 20 foot center console recently repowered with a new Yamaha F-200 hp four stroke.
- XPLOR 18 foot “flats” boat powered by a 60 hp Suzuki. With a low draft this boat is ideal for fishing the shallows and flats of the river.
